Episode 6: Tales of Arcade Collecting

In this weeks new and improved version of All Gen Gamers, we are joined by John Jacobson, also known as blkdog7, and is one of the hosts for the popular video game podcast "Video Game Outsiders". John has amassed a personal arcade collection of over 30 different arcade cabinets in his home, most residing in his own personal arcade room in his basement. Find out everything you ever wanted to know about the joys and problems that come with collecting vintage arcade machines, and more arcade terminology than you can fathom! We are also joined by our new podcast editor, Jason Heine also known as "TheEMUReview" on YouTube who also has a soft spot for some Arcade action of his own. Another great episode, the only thing is I miss Pete's little outros on his own, something about those endings just wrapped it up nicely. Still, it doesn't really matter at all haha, looking forward to ep 7!

I've had the pleasure of being to Johns house many times.
Always a great time.

John heads our website (for arcade collectors in New England)
Great place to hang if your from the area and have a game in your house or
if your looking for your first game.

Hey guys, loved the podcast. And the audio editing and intros by Mr. Heine were awesome!

Don't want to offend anyone too much, but I found John (the guest) to be really annoying. He seemed well-intentioned and knowledgeable, but I was bothered by the fact that he kept cutting people off CONSTANTLY, especially Pete. It was like a hyper child that can't listen without cutting in constantly.

No offence but I found John really annoying. I liked the down to earth, chilled atmosphere of episodes 1-5, and his presence was really hyperactive and loud. Also, I think the audio editing was really over the top and cheesy. Other than that, great podcast, guys.

No offense taken! I am hyperactive and loud! :)

Hey guys love the podcast and I love all your shows. This week brought something different to the table and I thought john was hilarious! More than that though, he brought some serious expertise on arcade collecting to the show, so I definitely want to give him props because he's hardcore, and I don't think he was cutting people off too much at all. One thing about the new intro though - what's with the dialing noises? I think you guys should have some NES noises in that intro or something, something more gamey, cuz now the intro sounds like it's for a call-in sports show. Other than that the new audio quality is top-notch, and you guys are lucky to have such a great editor. Keep it up - your podcast makes traffic bearable.

why such a high bitrate? and CBR too!?

Normaly I wouldn't mind, but whatever hosting you have isn't that great and so it can take up to 20minutes to download this episode.

I love the quality, but no one is going to notice a difference on their cheap ipod with crappy earbuds.

The podcast only shows how things done. I just hope that the language is a bit conservative. But in totality, it is great. Love the intro. Keep it up!

Sad that Johnny "HappyConsoleGamer" couldn't make it! D: But the episode was actually pretty enjoyable.

I gotta admit though, the new audio is a bit strange to me, I do prefer the worse quality since it sounds a lot more natural to me but I will likely get used to the new audio and opening theme.
